"QUANIVAL" OR QUANTUM? YOU CHOSE

There are so many things that all of a sudden become prominent by way of distractions as a man decides that ‘he is going to be a success’.  Those things form the way of distractions with the disguise of being obvious necessities.  We are however faced with the non-changing demand to achieve a certain level of success – if you desire it – by a certain time; and that is to qualify to go Jamaica in April for the JAIFA Congress.
We have all expressed our clear desires to achieve this, and I believe that some of us most certainly would. But not until we successfully negotiate our way and focus through this particular period called CARNIVAL.  It is in this season that so many distractions can be conjured as obvious necessities however all being under the banner of “Entertainment”.

The demand for success in the next few weeks and certainly sustained over the next few months to the end of the year, calls for the QUANTUM LEAP that we have been talking about.  It is my utmost un-shaking belief that we are in the year that will signify magnificent feats of success and advancement that we have ever experienced before.  However, our first marker point is the first quarter results, where the major distraction is carnival.  So my question to us all is, “ARE YOU GOING TO QUANIVAL OR QUANTUM?”

Quanival is “wanting” the Quantum Leap but allowing carnival in all its flair and fun, to distract us from the success that is demanded of us.  This is not saying that Carnival is wrong or that you shouldn't go to any of its events, for certainly, this particular year there are a number of events and attractions that I believe will make this season phenomenal and memorable.  However, my advice is do not allow it to hinder your feats of advance needed to facilitate your Quantum Leap forward into realizing End of Quarter Success.

The next few weeks calls for a more than concentrated focus and obsession about the goal of qualifying for Jamaica Congress.  In this regard, allow me to share with you the following guidelines to help and assist us in this season:

  • 1.       Reorganize your plans into the finite detail of daily activity.

You must know what your ultimate API goal is for Jamaica (130,000 API) and what that boils down to, per day, and set plans in place to achieve this daily, without compromise.
  • 2.       Do not compromise your day in substitute of carnival celebrations.

Though the coming days and weeks will be well populated with activities you may want to participate in, do not compromise the achievement of your daily goals.  Fete after perhaps if you must; but be faithful first to your daily goals.
  • 3.       Be accountable for the outcome and results of your day.

Do not blame people and circumstances for the outcome of your day.  Be responsible for your own result, be it good or bad.  Take responsibility.  The actions that you take are a result of your own decisions and nobody else.  Manage your time and your circumstances wisely.
  • 4.       Do not forget the power of association.

The people you associate with are the people that will influence your outcome.  If you connect to people who are themselves on the way of achieving their first quarter goals, then you will too.  If you connect with people who all they want to do is lime and fete, whether they work with you or not, then you too will want to lime and fete.  Association multiplies energy.  Associate with people who will multiply your energy towards the fulfilment and achievement of your goal.
  • 5.       Be thankful for what you have but eager to pursue and expect more.

You may have done what you could have; but it doesn’t mean that you couldn’t have done more.  Always be pushing yourself to the next level to do more today than you did yesterday and rewarding yourself appropriate when better is done and accomplished.

Be blessed dear friends.  Enjoy the season.  Enjoy the music and the lights.  But ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS FULLY.  Or simply, don’t be distracted at all and push as never before.  This is your time for your QUANTUM LEAP.
